Songwriting with Seniors

I design songwriting workshops where participants transform life stories and experiences into original music.

My process is adaptable. Participants can be as hands-on or as hands-off as they like in the actual music-making process itself. Some prefer to participate by sharing stories, while others like to actively contribute to the lyrics, melodies, and vocals.

Group Songwriting Workshops

I work with seniors in group settings. I collaborate with senior community centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, memory care centers, and other places where seniors live and come together. Each songwriting workshop is unique and designed to meet the interests and goals of the group.

Family Songwriting Workshops

I work with seniors and their families to help them compose original music that preserves treasured family stories. Families can choose how involved they’d like to be in the actual music-making. I handle the composition and recording, or guide participants in writing and recording their own music.

One-on-One Songwriting Workshops

I work with seniors, including those in memory care, in personalized songwriting sessions. We share stories and create music.
